The problem
Nine legal entities, four custodians and a reporting calendar that never quite closed. Each quarter, the operations team rebuilt the same picture by hand, and each quarter the board received figures nobody could trace back to a source without a phone call.
What changed
We began with a single mandate, mapped every source and owner, and agreed the governed record before touching a template. Approvals, tolerances and retention rules were written once as policy and applied across all nine entities.
By the third quarter the close ran without a war room. Corrections propagate to every artefact at once, and the audit export answers lineage questions before they are asked.
